This history is important if effective and transformational change is to be delivered as it covers the cultural understanding of the changes and challenges that local authorities, NHS and central government bodies have had to cope with. Aside from the budgetary constraints, there have been significant shifts of composition of staffing while obligations to prioritise projects using agile portfolio techniques means that Melanie’s skills are much sought after. The most common requests for support are from projects teams as they move away from waterfall style methodologies such as PRINCE2 and move towards a more agile approach of delivering benefits faster and cheaper than was previously possible.
