About Us
I’m Melanie Franklin, founder of Agile Change Management, and as my work expands beyond Agile Change to a broader focus on building change capability, I am consolidating my services under Capability for Change Limited while continuing to offer training, consultancy, and new products like ChangeabilityPro®.
About Us
I’m Melanie Franklin, founder of Agile Change Management. For the last 10 years my training, coaching and consultancy work has been delivered via a limited company called Agile Change Management Limited.
Via the website www.agilechangemanagement.co.uk my work is globally recognised as a quality learning experience, and the website is the home of highly regarded research, ideas, techniques and commentary on the value and importance of change management.
Of course, my work in change management is more than encouraging an Agile Change approach. My focus is on creating an ability to cope and thrive during change and over the last couple of years I have led the creation of a new service, called ChangeabilityPro® which is a platform to access immediate practical help to overcome any blockers to change that are holding you back. Working with a new group of experts, this work is delivered by a associated company called Capability for Change Limited.
This summer several factors came together to trigger a shift in my thinking and a decision to take a new path, and I wanted to share these, not only to explain my own situation, but also as a good example of how business change emerges over time, and then suddenly picks up pace as the situation becomes clearer and action becomes more obvious.
I Had a Revelation – I Am So Much More than Agile Change!
I published my latest book, Neuroscience for Change, an important new element for managing change as existing theories and models lose relevance and usefulness, having been developed to cope with change as individual events.
My new book generated a new perspective – why am I running a company that implies Agile Change is the only approach to change? Agile Change is a “flavour” of change, there are many factors that lead to effective change, and I continue to create courses that reflect this.
Once that thought took hold, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. All the branding for my company was based on the Agile Change Management Handbook, originally published in 2014. Whilst my work had moved forward, my image had not! Time for a refresh!
My Support for Change is More than Agile Change
So much of my in-house work for clients covers topics wider than Agile Change, as I provide practical help in establishing Change Networks, supporting senior leaders in how to sponsor change, broadening the understanding of the value of change management.
Time to be clearer about the breadth of my offering – everything that helps make business change happen!
My Passion is for Developing Others
The services I offer to organisations around the world to help them to deliver effective change continues to grow, and what I do is better explained as “capability for change” so why am I not letting everyone know this?
My passion for my work comes from the difference I make for others – solving their problems, building their skills and knowledge, helping them develop their careers. Surely capability building is a better label for what I do? Time for a re-brand!
Financial Reality
My job is to advise businesses, and being commercially astute is key to this. I always want to be an authentic leader, and I would not advise my clients to spread tax allowances across 2 companies. I would advise them to bring everything together into one legal entity – so I am taking my own advice!
What Will You Notice is Different?
To be honest, not much – the website www.agilechangemanagement.co.uk remains your go-to for registering for my courses, although you might have noticed a whole new product range as I have launched a new master class series, for more bite-sized learning but still with the opportunity for recognition of your achievement via digital badges for adding to your LinkedIn profile.
My melanie@agilechangemanagement.co.uk email still works but you can also contact me via melanie@capabilityforchange.com
Agile Change Management will no longer be a limited company, and invoicing will come from Capability for Change Limited. Agile Change Management will remain as the trading name for my training courses.
When Will You Notice the Differences?
From January 1st 2025, I will start to wind down the company activity for Agile Change Management Limited and transfer the invoicing to Capability for Change Limited.
Do You Need To Do Anything?
No, we will continue to provide all our training and webinars and the Change Capability Community events as well as the annual Capability for Change survey. You will also continue to receive our newsletters.
We have established an agreement to share data from Agile Change Management Limited to Capability for Change Limited and of course you can always unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time.
You will be notified of new services as I grow my range of products and services, and you will have access not only to my training, but a whole new group of experts with global experience of change developed over many years.
Thank you for continuing to support myself and the Capability for Change community.
